Gota Shaab el Erg (also sold as Dolphin House) at the south-west tip of the Shaab el Erg horseshoe: the end of the western reef arm, the gota (coral tower) off the tip across a small channel the resident dolphins swim through, the sandy plateau to the south and west with towers and coral heads, and the moorings. The gota, channel and plateau come from dive-centre descriptions (seawolf-safari.de, divessi.com), so their positions are approximate. The origin is on the tip; the site's stored coordinates are those of the main reef, about 500 m north-east.

A dive logged as Shaab el Erg Tota — a named spot within the Shaab el Erg reef system rather than a separate reef. Tota is used locally for a small coral tower, and the lagoon inside the horseshoe is full of them.
Treated as a distinct site_id because the log distinguishes it; the regional context is in
egy-shaab-el-erg.md.
