Sha'ab Abu Nuhas with its four diveable wrecks along the north-west face, from Giannis D at the western corner to the Kimon M at the north-eastern tip, and the dive-boat mooring on the south side. Reef table, lagoon, beacon, mooring and the wreck positions come from OpenStreetMap; lengths, beams, headings and depths from the Red Sea Wreck Project and dive-guide descriptions. Wreck outlines are to scale but positions are approximate to some tens of metres.

Abu Nuhas is a reef about two kilometres long lying just south of Shadwan Island, on the northern side of the Strait of Gubal. Its top is barely submerged, it has deep water on both sides, and it sits squarely in the lane every ship uses between the Suez Canal and the Red Sea. It has taken more vessels than any other reef in Egyptian waters — at least seven.
Four of them can be dived, and they line up along the north face from west to east:
| wreck | lost | cargo | depth |
|---|---|---|---|
| Carnatic | 1869 | mail, cotton, wine, gold | 16–27 m |
| Giannis D | 1983 | sawn timber | 10–28 m |
| Chrisoula K / Marcus | 1981 or 1978 | Italian floor tiles | 4–27 m |
| Kimon M | 1978 | 4 500 t of lentils | 4–32 m |
The south side of the reef, where the boats moor, is an ordinary and rather good coral garden; divers cross the reef top in the shallows to get to the wrecks on the north side, or the boat repositions.
This site_id covers the four dives in December 2009 logged against the reef as a whole rather than against a named wreck; the 2017 dives are logged individually.
