🇳🇱 DiveWorld Enschede
Enschede, Overijssel, Netherlands
A ten-metre indoor dive tower decorated as a cenote — which, for someone who dives cenotes, is a very specific kind of joke and a very useful one in January.

Plan of the 10 m DiveWorld dive tower: entry from the floating pontoon (flonder) or the stairs, shelves at 1.4 m and 5 m, a platform at 9 m on the 10 m floor, a small boat, two red rings and the cenote-style rock wall. Platform depths 1.4/5/9 m are from diveworld.nl and René Magazine; which grey shelf is 1.4 m and which is 5 m, and the object identities, are assumptions. The tower diameter (13 m) is derived from the published 1.3 million litres at 10 m depth, and north is not known; all positions are approximate.

DiveWorld in Enschede is an indoor dive tower: 10 m deep, warm, clear, and built and decorated in the style of a cenote, with rock formations and a cavern zone.
Eleven dives between December 2016 and January 2026, to 9.6 m, the longest 78 minutes. The dates tell the story — December, January, February. This is where the winter goes: skills, equipment trials, courses, and rehearsing for Mexico in a concrete replica of it.
