Rincon, Bonaire, Bonaire
There are sixty-seven of them. The name is what they feel like on the way back up with a set of doubles on.

Shore dive from the concrete stairs: the hard-coral terrace at 3-9 m, the drop-off at about 10 m and the reef slope to 40 m, with the mooring and its star-coral 'pagodas' in front of the stairs (infobonaire.com and bonaire.com site descriptions). Contours below the drop-off assume the gradual slope the guides describe, and the route direction along the wall is illustrative. Coastline and dive-site markers © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). A limestone terrace on the north-west coast below the Rincon road, reached by a flight of concrete steps cut into the cliff. Depending on who is counting there are sixty-seven, or seventy-two. Nobody has ever counted a thousand. The name is a joke about the climb out, and every diver who has done it thinks the joke is fair.
The reef below is one of the best on the island — a broad shallow terrace of hard coral, then a drop-off, and enough space to swim a long way in either direction. Turtles are routine.
