A long, narrow hole of white sand at 15-20 m in the reef slope seaward of the Lac Bay barrier reef (reef top 4-6 m, 30 m at most on the outside), home to a resting school of tarpon that shelter in the coral wall on its west side, with turtles on the southern part (bonaire.com, bonaireisland.com). The sand hole is about 140 m long and 25 m wide, beside the OpenStreetMap dive-site marker; the 30 m contour, the drop point and the circular route are assumptions. White Hole is on the east coast, near Cai, and like everything on that side it only happens when the trades let it. It is a circular bowl of white sand in the reef, and its resident population is a large school of tarpon — two-metre, silver-plated, prehistoric-looking fish that hang in the bowl in formation and let divers come close.
Dived 21 August 2012 to 19.9 m, the same day as Cai — a single east-coast window used for both.
