Stonehenge, a group of very large granite boulders standing on sand off the north-western tip of Similan Island 4 (Ko Miang); coastline from OpenStreetMap. The boulders are drawn as one mark at the divezone position (8.57878, 97.62772), which agrees with Similan Diving Tours ('the north-western tip of Koh Miang') and the Similan Diving Safaris overview. The tops are at about 24 m and the sand at 35-40 m, with swim-throughs, canyons and gorgonian-lined valleys between the rocks and a mooring line for the descent; their individual layout is unknown. The site coordinates (8.5775, 97.641) are 1.5 km east, off the north coast.

A group of very large granite boulders standing on a sand seabed directly north of Ko Miang, Similan Island 4, in the centre of the archipelago. The rocks rise from 25 m and below and the site goes to 40 m, with soft corals and gorgonian sea fans lining the valleys between them. White tip, black tip and leopard sharks are all regular.

Current can be strong, and it is a site for experienced divers.

Position corrected September 2026. The workbook had this at Ko Bon, 32 km north — the area label in the log. Stonehenge is a Similan site, north of Island 4, and the other dive that day (Sharkfin Reef, Island 3) puts the boat in the southern half of the archipelago, not up at Ko Bon. The earlier note that it had once been geocoded to Bangkok, 742 km away, gives some sense of how far this one has travelled.
