The one dive of the trip on Malta itself rather than Gozo. Wied iż-Żurrieq is the inlet on the south coast that boats leave from to visit the Blue Grotto, the sea cave system in the cliffs where the water lights up electric blue in the morning sun.
The reef off the inlet runs out from the shore with caves and an arch cut into the cliff base, in 10–25 m, and the water here is among the clearest around the islands.
Dived 2 August 2011 to 17.5 m.
