Where
Kreidesee Hemmoor
A chalk pit dug from 1862 to 1976 that filled with groundwater by 1982 — sixty metres deep, full of industrial wreckage, an astronaut's aeroplane and an underwater postbox, and the most-dived site in this log outside the Netherlands.

Plan: 40 m 25 min; 24 m 2; 21 m 2; 18 m 1 / 15 m 1; 12 m 1; 9 m 2; 6 m 16. Descent along the line, past the truck, through the "shredder" to the street. Then up along the street. At 40 metres was the wooden staircase; it carried on a good way further down. After that there was not much left to see and we ascended a bit. In the end we came up slightly early and made a fine ascent. The full set + stage + argon felt fairly heavy underwater.
